Lord Romney Doesn’t appreciate getting glittered bombed.

The Colorado primary has wrapped up. Rallies were attended, mega churches filled, and glitter was slung—generally all in the same place.

Mitt Romney was the latest victim of a recent string of malicious glitter attacks.

Generally the act, a response to the conservative base’s flagrant opposition of gay marriage, has only been committed on GOP candidates. On the short list include: Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney. It is speculated John Huntsman may have been targeted, but no one bothered to attend any of his campaign rallies to confirm.

The skinny of the situation:

It turns out the republicans have pinned down their first glitter martyr: Peter Smith. The twenty year old college student and Colorado resident has been filed misdemeanor charges and faces six months in prison and a $1000 fine. According to some medical doctors (Romney’s), glitter bombing is a potentially very dangerous assault that could lead to significant eye damage, even blindness.

Is glitter throwing a wimpier version of the iconic paint slinging of radical animal activists, or a silly fad that is landing out of touch politicians even more air time than they need?
